The Federation engages with the government at the state and central levels to create a conducive environment for MSMEs to that it contributes towards the growth of the nation at its full potential. The Federation of MSME Vendors of Defence and Aerospace also works in partnership with the government to ascertain the progress of development and procurement in the sector.

Many opportunities arise both at the National and International levels. MSME can enjoy numerous such opportunities that arise at domestic and global arena. The Federation of MSME Vendors of Defence and Aerospace helps to keep track of these opportunities besides identifying new trends and new global policies that have an effect on defence MSMEs. This enables MSMEs in the sector to stay on top of the latest trends and also enhance their knowledge base so that they are in tune with the happenings and the latest developments in the industry. The Federation works to analyse policies and opportunities to maximise potential of MSME manufacturers and vendors so that they can offer industry-specific products and services. It allows MSMEs working in the defence sector to offer the latest and most relevant products and services. The Federation shall endeavour to augment global business opportunities for its members, by participating in trade fairs, seminars, attending delegations, sending delegations etc.

Across the world the defence industry is evolving and investing in cutting-edge technology. As a part of its services, the Federation of MSME Vendors of Defence and Aerospace monitors these emerging technologies in the defence sector so that Indian defence sector can get access to these technologies to improve and enhance their capabilities. The Federation hosts seminars and also participates in conventions that enable it to get in-depth knowledge and information about emerging technologies and new opportunities. When Federation members are part of these events, they get to learn about these new developments and enhance their manufacturing capabilities. One of the prime responsibilities of the Federation of MSME Vendors Defence and Aerospace is to raise awareness of the capabilities of the Indian defence manufacturing and services industry. This helps to raise awareness of the sector and works to create new B2B and export opportunities. Through participation in international defence trade fairs and exhibitions, the Federation ensures defence MSMEs get a platform to showcase their expertise and abilities at an international forum. The Federation takes great pride in meeting the requirements of MSMEs. It provides a comprehensive FAQ section that provides procurement guides and practices in the defence sector. There are industry leaders and experts who make an effort to even address queries that are not available in the FAQ section to ensure defence MSMEs get the right answer and solutions. Members are encouraged to check out the FAQ section to see if their questions and doubts have been addressed. If they do not find the desired answer, they can send in their questions and queries and industry luminaries will respond to them.

Legal Support

Should a MSME that is a member of the Federation require legal support and services, the Federation works to enable it through in-house legal experts. This service comes at an additional cost, which differs from case to case. The member company will be informed about the cost involved at the outset. The legal support can help members unravel the complicated jargon in contracts, get assistance to resolve disputes and also handle other more complex and grave legal issues.
